My favorite Christmas song is "Sleigh Ride" by Debbie Gibson.  She's very good!  But my LEAST favorite Christmas song is "The Christmas Shoes" by Newsong.  What a downer!

 

Ohhh I love the Christmas Story too!  Classic!  It's a Wonderful Life is very good too

I am watching Santa Claus is coming to town right now,lol.

It does remind me of my childhood. I was asking in my other blog if anyone remembered the commercial where Santa slid down the snow drifts on the Norelco razor. That was a yearly classic.
...and how unpolitically correct the oldies were, such as Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. They were all so mean because he was different. Santa was mean chewing out Donner for having such a misfit, and the coach saying "Rudolph wont be playing in any of our reindeer games" lol

I like all the old movies too, but I really like Polar Express it is so creatively done.

Me and my daughter love all the old Christmas music. We have to listen to them while putting up the tree, are wee geeks, lol

Nope, no geeks here!  We're diversified!

I have a fundamental hatred for Christmas music of all sorts. Now, it wasn't always this way. When I was a child, I was a total Christmas freak. I loved the specials and the carols and everything, but somewhere along the way, something snapped to the point where I just cannot STAND any Christmas music -- even the classics, which I a heck of a lot more tolerable.

 

I don't think I was built for traditions. I just can't do the same thing year after year.

 

It's good that you enjoy them, though. Otherwise you would be stomping around and grumbling, and saying "Bah Humbug!" like me.

I didn't always like Christmas music at Christmas time.  Wait 'til you're older, it'll probably set in in a few years!  HA!HA!

LOL. I somehow doubt that, but if it happens, you can come poke me and tell me that you told me so.

I've really soured on Christmas, the tradition of it especially, but I used to know every word of all the traditional carols when I was younger. Every word. Even the extra verses that no one in their right minds ever sings. So, if I do happen to fall back into good terms with Christmas, at least I will know all the words to the carols.
