Ahhh, can you smell the roses?  They smell reeeeally good! Smiley

I've been reading a lot lately, I just finished Simple Genius by David Baldacci.  I really like David Baldacci's books.  Now I am reading a book by Ann Rule and another one by Jeffrey A. Wands, different subjects but interesting.

I recently had to get a crown on one of my teeth.  It didn't thrill me!  Even with dental insurance they are not cheap and I prefer my own teeth, thank you. Smiley  It had a cracked filling in it that the dentist said couldn't be re-filled.  I haven't needed any dental work for years, I am nearly crazy fanatical in taking care of my teeth--I hate dental work!

We've been doing some small landscaping projects around here.  It dawned on me that we've lived here almost 10 years and there are a lot of things that I kept thinking we would get to that we haven't.  When you move onto on an acre of weeds and alfalfa (and you're not rich!) it takes a while to get to everything.  Since we built the house we've poured concrete, also put in some asphalt, planted lawn, trees, put in flower beds, my husband fenced the whole peoperty and built a decent sized shed/sm. garage, he just put a small retaining wall up.  Last weekend I bought a bunch of flowers, petunias etc., and got all those planted.  The weather here hasn't been all that great, we had a really nice week a couple weeks ago but when it's windy and cloudy it's not as much fun to be out puttering.

We've been taking Skittles to dog obedience classes, he is doing pretty good.  He's calmed down quite a bit since we got him, we call him "The Brown Fury" as a joke because he's so busy.

We are getting a new DVR on Saturday. We have two right now that are a few years old and I have to fight them all the time.  They are always doing things that they are not supposed to be doing and not doing the things that they are supposed to be doing!  The new one is one receiver that controls two TV's, I am hoping it will be problem free (or mostly problem free anyway!)

Hey Daffodil!  You are DEFINITELY not alone...pretty much everyone hates dental work.  Sorry to hear about the crown...but you'll definitely get used to it.

The weather hasn't been awesome around here either.  We had a wintery spring...hopefully the summer will be nice and hot.  We just had a severe storm pass through and we saw some pretty big chunks of hail...and did you hear about that big tornado that hit the northern Twin Cities last week?  The suburb of Hugo was devastated.

Glad to hear Skittles is doing well Smiley

Yep, I guess you are right, no one likes dental work! Smiley

So, how much school do you have left?  Just a few weeks?  I bet you are excited for summer vacation!  Any specific plans?  I remember last summer you and your family seemed to travel quite a bit and went lots of places, it seemed like you had  a good time.

In his 3rd obedience class that he just had, Skittles learned how to lay down from a sit position and leave a treat that is placed in front of him (sit still and wait and not break his neck getting to it and devour it!  Quite a feat for him because he loves treats!)  It's so cute!  It makes him look so well behaved! Smiley

Talk to you later~~

Hey there...just two days left for me.  I can't wait...I have had enough of school!  This year has been good but enough is enough.  This summer we will be going to Door County, WI at the end of June and in August we'll be taking a two-week trip down the east coast.  I will also soon be posting pictures of the vacation we took during Spring Break in March...we went to New Orleans.  I haven't been online a whole lot lately and that's because school keeps me REALLY busy but in a couple of days I'll be free and I'll be online often again Smiley
