I think you are talking about Guiding Light, if so I'm inclined to agree.  I'm confident that things will improve but I had thought there would be more baby steps in the right direction by now.  I see backs of heads way too much and I hate the way the shots are framed showing the 'wrong' part or just not enough of people's faces, I know nothing about filming but have seen things from amateurs that looks better to me.  I guess GL couldn't afford cameramen who have experience with this equipment or spring for a few hours of training.  Hopefully the learning on the job strategy yields some better results soon.  I'm really trying to be positive and give them the benefit of the doubt on this but the problems with the filming seem so glaringly obvious and easily fixed.  Is no one looking at what they are shooting as it's filmed? 
But I don't have any beef with the sound.  I'm not in love with the music but IMO it's on par with other soaps and their use of music is pretty good.  I don't have trouble hearing the audio but I do tend to flip the station when I get bored or irritated so maybe I'm just not noticing.
