With just over two weeks until the festivities of the 44th annual Daytime Emmy Awards begin, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced this year's hosts as well as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is going with an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach to the hosting gig at this year's Daytime Emmy Awards. As announced on today's episode of The Talk, The Bold and the Beautiful alum and Extra host Mario Lopez (ex-Dr. Christian Ramirez) and The Talk's soap opera super fan Sheryl Underwood are set to helm the star-studded event for the third year in a row.

Adam Sharp, President of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, is "happy to announce that two of daytime television's brightest stars... will lead the magnificent celebration planned for this year's 46th Daytime Emmy Awards."

David Michaels, SVP, Daytime for NATAS adds: "I am thrilled to have one of the most entertaining combinations in daytime television hosting our grand gala at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. With their combined wit and charm, plus America's favorite arbiter, Judge Judy, receiving this year's lifetime achievement award as well as the best of daytime nominated in all genres and a stellar list of presenters yet to be announced, it promises to be a memorable night for the daytime community."

But that's not all of the Emmy-related news that was announced today. General Hospital star Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller) will once again be hosting a live stream, both before the May 5 ceremony on the red carpet as well as backstage, where she'll be chatting with winners after they've accepted their awards.

Meanwhile, producer and singer David Osmond -- son of Alan, nephew of Donny and Marie -- is set to host the Creative Arts portion of the Daytime Emmys on Friday, May 3, also at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
