Vincent Irizarry Leaves Y&R...?! (Also, Yearning for Marj Dusay)

...seriously?! I never saw that coming, but to be really honest? I don't watch Y&R. Although when I called my Grandma and told her, she was really surprised.

As AMC fans know, we're all chomping at the bit to see where he heads next. I, for one, hope that he returns to Pine Valley, even after last time, he was said to have left "for real, this time".

..."never" is a not-word in Soapland, my friends.

So, what are we hoping? Well, the majority of us are hoping that if/when he hops back into town that he has Dixie in-tow! Wouldn't that be the perfect storyline!? I can't say that I would be disappointed, and yes; Spenser has claimed stake to that particular storyline possibility, so I won't try to take any credit, although she told the story so convincingly that I thought I had made it up myself! o_O

Anyhoo.

I'm pretty stoked about the thought of David returning to Pine Valley. I'm even more stoked at the thought of Marj Dusay (Vanessa). I heard for the first time tonight that she was being sorely underused on the Guiding Light. I say bring her back to AMC...I'd like to form some kind of insane online alliance...

...yeah; I can see it now.

We'll climb on top of high buildings, and shout things! We'll have banners, and instruments, and we'll shout, "Give Me Marj, or...I'll Eat This Bran Muffin That's Slightly Out-of-Date!" I don't know...you get the idea; there'll be some kind of minor threat made.

Or we could write/call-in, which ever is easier, as I'm tired.

I am a 43 year old wife and mother of a three year old boy- I am a fan of AMC since I was 12... especially of Tad and Dixie. When the writers killed Dixie off, I stopped watching. I was very frustrated that the writers would allow this beloved character to have such an unfortunate ending. Fast forward a few years.... I was at a restaurant that had AMC on and OMG!! That looks like Dixie!! Could it be??!! I called my Mom to find out for sure.. and she said "YES!! Dixie is back....As a ghost" Huh???? Why couldn't the writers give The Fans what they REALLY wanted?? Dixie back in PV not as a ghost or an angel, but as the real deal? Michael E. Knight and Cady McClain are just pure magic together. They are both very talented, and what 30-40 something HASN'T had a crush on Michael E. Knight?? I LOVE his hair...the touch of grey makes him look even MORE handsome, I didn't know that was possible! Watching their scenes today brought some fond memories back and left me wanting more! PLEASE PLEASE AMC do the right thing and bring Dixie back - find a way for Tad to have the love of his life back for good!!
