Okay first off, Im happy that the show now has a new co-exec producer and a new casting director. Now that we have these people in place i hope they improve the show. The first thing i would like to improve is the storylines and overall tone of the show. I read on Ali Sweeney's blog that Ed Scott has already come in and changed a few things with the sets and having them reshoot some scenes. I would like to see some of the storylines thought out more thouroughly. I would like to see some real life storylines, such has someone having cancer and what that does to a family, someone having a eating disorder or something real. They recently did another cornea transplant on Abe and it was portrayed so unrealistic. I myself have had a cornea transplant, and i know from experience that you cant just remove the bandgaes and see perfectly right away. I know they couldnt make it complety true to life, but it makes me angry when it is so completly off the mark.
I would like to see people actually go to work. People on this show never go to work, but can fly across the world at anytime. I want to see romance, not just a couple talking dirty to each other like we have been seeing. I want to see love scenes from the 80's and 90's. Remember when couples had a theme song. When was the last time we heard Bo and Hope's song "tonight I celebrate my love". Now all we get is a few dirty lines a couple of kisses and thats it.
But most of all I would like to see better acting and directing. I dont think its all the writers fault. I think alot of things could improve if they got better directors. I really really hope the new casting director hires people who can act. The last casting director hired people who had a good look, but none of them can act.
