I know its no fun to hear people complain and I know people get tired of me complaining, but..... to "get it out" may be therapeutic. lol

I get tired of seeing certain complaints day after day. Especially characters I like (of course) lol.

 Some think that John McBain can do no right, everyday someone is complaining about something he does or is going to do,even if its crossing the street. I mean geez if he was eating cereal someone would find fault. It is that way with a lot of characters ,not only John.

 

I can't stand that the writers (or the fans, not sure who does it) make it so there has to be a division among fans ,there always has to be sides taken. For example now it seems as though you have to either take Natalie's side or Jessica's, Well I'm not taking either side ,I'm a fan of both. It was never Tina or Viki's side in the eighties we just enjoyed the show. There is such hatred for fictional characters its unbelievable.

 I am not even sure I can discuss anything online anymore,I honestly feel hated for liking  fictional characters.

Oh and the eye rolling smiley, WOW! Has that become the "in" thing to diss someone with. Its the most overused annoying, yet hateful way to tell someone they are stupid and their opinion is wrong. 

 

Speaking of eye rolling. LOL Its funny Natalie gets accused of it all the time but Jessica and Viki do it a lot and it gets no attention....but I digress. Still love them all eye rolls and all .(the whole cast does it lol) 

 I watch my ABC soaps and Days because I have loved and watched them for years and like discussing them laughing about them ,tearing up with the rest of you, but its not that enjoyable anymore when some diss characters they are really dissing the fans of the characters we feel it and they know it that's why they continue .So I guess I won't let it bother me anymore that way they get no satisfaction and will move on to another way to annoy.

As the court reconvened all eyes were on Babe. When  she reentered the room, there were several murmurs. She ignored them all as Tim had ordered her to do and made her way back to the witness stand.

"Is everything alright Mr. Dillon?" the judge asked. "There didnt seem to be any Paul Cramers in this court room, especially with a gun."

"Your honor I apologize, my client has been under a tremendous amount of stress and I ask that she be excused form further testimony." Tim knew he was screwed either way. If the judge allowed Babe to get off the stand it looked as though she lied and therefore would damage Krystals case, but if she were forced to stay on the stand and had another meltdown it would kill the case altogether.

"Mrs. Cudhay, any objections?" Judge Malina asked.

"No your honor." She gave Tad a knowing glance. Both knew this was a big victory for them.

"Alright, I'll excuse her. However you must register with the court clerk, there will be a hearing for contempt of court." The judge banged her gavel, and Babe stepped off the stand.  "Counsel call your next witness."

"Your honor I call Erica Kane to the stand." Livia announced proudly. The deputy went off to get La Kane.

Amanda watched her brother and prayed that none of this was held against him. He was doing the best he could with just a few hours to prepare for the trial.  She felt someone move beside her  so she looked up. It was Janet!

"Mom, you shouldn't be here." Amanda chastised.

"Dont be silly why wouldn't I be here for my favorite nephew/Stepsons first trial?" Jabet smiled broadly. "He looks so handsome."

"Things arent going well for him." Amanda confided.

"Hes a bright boy, great looking. Something good will happen." Janet smiled again

"Mom theres something Tim has to tell you soon?" Amanda averted her eyes, hoping she wasnt puttin Tim in a weird position.

"Besides him being gay?" Janet laughed softly. Erica was led into the courtroom.

Erica looked out at the crowd which seemed to have grown in anticipation of her testimony.

"Your honor we would ask that the press be escorted out due to miss Kanes celebrity status." Livia stood quickly and requested.

"No." The judge answered just as quickly. "We're not gagging for one witness but not the other." Livia approached the stand. This was a slam dunk for her, Erica was firmly on Tads side.

"How long have you known the plaintiff?" she asked.

"About 20 or so years." Erica answered, smiling.

"Would you say Mr. Martin is a model father?"

"We all make mistakes with children but yes overall I think he is a good father."

"You know his son Jamie?"

"I do," Erica smiled again. "Very handsome, just like his father."

"Where is Jamie?"

"In Africa, helping the unfortunate. Aids victim."

"No further questions." Livia sat down. Her and Tad smiled widely, that couldn't have gone better if they had scripted it.

"Your witness counsel." The judge looked at Tim. He approached Erica timidly.

"Miss Kane you were once convicted of kidnapping once also weren't you?" Tim stared at her, almost daring her to lie.

"Yes I was." Erica answered, lowered her head in shame. "I had miscarried my child with my then husband Dimtri Marrick and was suffering from undiagnosed post-partum depression." Livia and Tad both registered the hit immediately.

"And weren't you also on trial for the murder of Michael Cambias?"

"Yes but I was aquitted because I did not murder him."

"Who did?"

"Objection!" Livia yelled. "That is a separate case, one of which had been closed to the public."

"It goes to Miss Kanes parenting skills." Tim argued.

"In this instance I have to sustain the objection, the Michael Cambias murder was sealed by a judge."

"No further questions" Tim sat down. He had hoped that Bianca killing Michael would sway the judge over to Krystals side.

"I would like to re-direct." Livia announced.

"Proceed."

"Erica what are your daughters names." Livia asked

"Bianca Montgomery and Kendall Hart Slater. I also have a son Joshua Madden."

"And what are their occupations and standing in the community?"

"Bianca is a chair person on the Cambias Industries board and Kendall is majority shareholder in Fusion Cosmetics. Both are looked upon as role models for young women. Josh is a doctor this week, also very highly regarded."

"With the excellent parenting you have shown with your children, would you recommend Tad Martin as the primary caregiver for Jennifer Martin?"

"No." Erica answered. Everyone stared at her stunned.

"Why not?" Livia asked hoping Erica had something up her sleeve, like a sole custody plea.

"How could I recommend Greg Maddens torturer. Tad Martin killed another human being...."

For a while I had some companions in my dept who also worked second shift, but now they've all been transferred away.  I miss them.  One of our little traditions was that we would read our horoscopes for entertainment each evening at supper time.  Since our days were almost over by then, we could look for any similarities between the horoscope and how our days had gone.  We'd read our boss's horoscope, too, and various other people we knew.  It was just something we did for laughs, and I stopped doing it once I was working alone again. 

But back in the day, I used to wonder what it would be like to use the daily horoscopes as cue cards for writing a soap.  In other words, create twelve characters, half of them male and the other six female, or maybe twenty-four of them, one of each sex, and then write their stories based on the horoscopes in the daily paper.  You could get a description of the characters by reading the basic characteristics of each sign of the zodiac.  Mainly what I wondered was if you tried to follow the horoscopes, could you tell a consistent story, or would the horoscopes collide.

For instance, my horoscope for today says:  "Challenge yourself to think bigger. If your plan is too small, it won't have enough magic to inspire your team. And if you don't even need a team to accomplish your goal, then it's for sure too small!"  So if I were a character in my soap, the writers would have to incorporate this in to my s/l.  Would they be able to look at the canvas and see some way to show me working towards a goal that requires a team effort, or would they throw up their hands and say there's no way to work it in because it would complicate all the other s/ls.

My horoscope from yesterday said, "Creativity, like love, isn't something that one needs to generate. Its energy is already present, and we need only to be open to it. You get an exhilarated buzz from letting creativity sing through you."  (That's an excellent horoscope, btw, and very true for me; I may copy that one down and hang it up at work, I like it so much.)  So in my soap, if I were an artist or a musician, then yesterday I could have been creating a masterpiece and today I would pulling together a team of people to help me market it. 

But the other people in the soap would be acting according to THEIR horoscopes.  So let's see.  Suppose my BFF was a Taurus. Let's see if it would make sense for her to be on my team of supporters. Her horoscope for today says "You're asked to do things that on the surface don't seem like too much fun. If you look at it one way, it's a terrible inconvenience. If you look at it another way, it's an adventure."  So now, yes, it COULD work in that she would be someone I would approach about helping me sell my masterpiece.  Perhaps she owns a small gallery in our small town of Zodiac.  See how that would work?

Of course there's no story unless there's some conflict to resolve, so scanning the other horoscopes we find this one for Cancer, which was what my buddy Matt at work was.  His horoscope says "You're finally focusing your bountiful gifts in quick, precise bursts. A little work here and there starts to add up to something you can be proud of. Scorpio is a valuable help."  So maybe Matt could be working towards a goal that would be cross-purposes with mine.  Maybe he's discovered a talent for real estate brokerage.  He wants to buy the building that houses his latest love Taurus' art gallery downtown and tear it down to put in some condominiums.  This will put a real dent in me successfully getting my masterpiece to the public, but Matt thinks it will be the best thing for dear Taurus because her art gallery ain't paying the bills and her frustration is putting a damper on their love life.  Matt needs some money, though, so he appeals to Scorpio, just as the horoscope says. 

Scorpio might be the rich young cad about town.  Perhaps he spends most of his time lying about and fulfilling the role of the idle rich.  Scorpio's horoscope goes thusly: "Prepare for a change of events in your social life. The sudden entrance or exit of a certain individual — likely a Leo — sets off a fortuitous chain of events.Try to keep up."  Ah!  This sets the stage for a vibrant Leo to come swirling along, waiting to be impressed.  She would be impressed if Idle Rich suddenly became Business Tycoon.  So he decides to back Matt financially. 

Leo's horoscope... let's call her Leora so we remember she's female... says "Once a student, always a student. Life itself is your best teacher now. What was once terribly boring now gets fantastically interesting. The more you know, the more you want to know."  This implies she has had flirtations with Scorpio previously, but her interest is piqued when he mentions actually financing a business deal on his own for once (instead of just spending his allowance on good times.)  He sees her flash of interest, so he presents his latest business dealings as having been all his own idea.  But if the ambition is what really interests Leora, what will happen when she discovers it's Matt driving the deal and not Scorpio?  Will she lose interest in Scorpio again and take up with the poor but determined entrepreneur?

Well, who has time to do this everyday?  But I always thought it would be fun.

Hello Everyone!! I believe that it is important to keep our beloved soap characters the same. Why?

Well for starters we as soap fans look at our shows on a regular basis because we have developed a sense of familiarity. We enjoy them, we are entertained by them we cry with them, we sometimes relate to them.We get used to seeing them everyday...... then BAM they are gone and someone else comes in and attempts to fill thier place!! I know things are changing, the directors and producers want fresh new faces, but the need to STOP and  think!! People who have been on a show for 10, 20 years suddenly dropped off or recast?

It's absurd!!

Example:  Erica Kane..... being portrayed by someone other than Susan Lucci?

I hope to never see that day!!!!
