Labor Day Weekend

Smiley Smiley Smiley SmileyWow, can you believe summer is practically over???  It just went by way too fast -- as usual.

So here's what going on for us this Labor Day weekend...we are all at Nana & Papa's this weekend.  They live in Eagan, a suburb of St. Paul.  Today we helped Grant move into his dorm at the University of Minnesota.  He is moving in on Monday night and he starts his freshman year of college on Tuesday.  He is majoring in chemistry.  So moving him in wasn't fun.  Moving sucks.  And we're gonna have to move him out this May when he comes back home for the summer, and Labor Day weekend next year we're gonna have to move him in again.  And then after that we went to the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul.  That was a lot of fun -- I ate too much Smiley  I'm very full right now.  At the fair, pretty much everything is battered or fried...I consumed a lot of fat today.  But I walked a lot, so that's good.    And at the fair we saw the famous Superman of our hometown, St. Cloud, MN.  This guy stands at the intersection of Division St. & 25th Ave. in St. Cloud dressed as Superman and holding an American flag.  I heard he's crazy, and rumor has it he's a pedophile.  Also, every year when we go to the fair, I always get pissed at another person there, particularly people with strollers and wagons.  I hate those people!  They run over your feet, and they're very rude and agressive.  This one woman ran over my foot with a stroller, and I said, Ow!" and she just snarled at me so I snarled back.  And this other woman ran over my foot with a wagon and she snarled at me, and my mom said, "Well, excuse you!"  Oh, and speaking of my mom, something really funny happened today at the fair -- we were looking at sheep at the animal exhibit and this one sheep sneezed all over my mom.  Sheep snot splattered onto her hands and pants, and she was just screaming in disgust.  She was screaming very loud, and everyone was just staring at us.  And later I heard this couple talking, and the man was screaming like my mom was, and the woman laughed and said, "Awww, I missed it!"  LOL!  My mom is very vulnerable when it comes to that stuff.  Oh, I have another story about her being disgusted at something, but I will warn you, it's pretty gross, so I wouldn't read it if you're eating right now, just ate, or are about to eat...

Last March we drove down to Disney World, and on the way we spent the night at a Hampton Inn in Springfield, IL.  We were all sleeping, and my mom came out of the bathroom and got a cup, and it was a cup that was wrapped in plastic like most hotel cups, and she dug into the cup but then she felt something very disturbing; this stringy, clear liquid...probably phlegm.  EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And she was just gagging and she had the dry heaves.  So now we are all very paranoid and cautious about those plastic-wrapped cups.  My mom said that was traumatic for her.  Uggh!

So on Tuesday I start my freshman year of high school.  I'm excited about that...it's always exciting to move up to a different school.

I get to raise a child!!!
So school has started this past Thursday and already I find myself with some exciting new assignment this semester.  I get to raise a virtual child from birth to age 18 for my child development class.  Que interesante!  My professor was telling us about this today and she said that you don't get to choose the sex of the child, but you get to choose everything else.  So, for example, you either get to hear at the end of the semester "Jason has been accepted to five Ivy League Schools," or you get to hear, "The local penitentiary is open from 9-5.  You can visit your son Jason there on weekends."  I think this is like the coolest thing ever and I'm really excited.  I'm actually thinking if I get a boy I'm going to name it Jason and see if I can mold it into the golden boy or see if I get stuck with a criminal son in Pentonville after 18 years.  I'll keep y'all updated!

VT Massacre Gun Rights and College Safety

Now for the record I put most of the blame on College Security and Officials. They shnould have closed the ENTIRE school after the first two shootings.

As facts unwind it is becoming more and more clear that the police are about as clueless as the college is.

Had the school been immediately closed there may not have been 30 more victims. After this I am seriously considering taking advantage of my second ammendment rights.

Welcome

Welcome to our Blog. We will be discussing General Hospital, including GH spoilers, news, show commentary, and whatever else we happen to rant about. We will also discuss any other of the number of shows that we watch, which is a lot.

This blog is controlled by two college room-mates, who instead of partying watch television. Not only do we watch television, but we watch television correctly. Let me tell you, there is a correct way. After doing this we bug friends and family with our commentary. To keep them from killing us, we have decided to vent our frustration here.

Thanks SoapCentral for making blogs available for soap fans on your website. We greatly appreciate it. Check back regularly for updates!
