What I learned Day of Our Lives this week:

This week I learned that claustrophobia can be cured by sex. Thanks, DOOL! It's good to know that you're on top of the latest medical breakthroughs. Chloe and Lucas got it on in an elevator! Chloe's still gorgeous, Lucas still has bad hair, but at least this plotline is mildly interesting.

EJ and Nicole on the other hand... They were in the next elevator over, and the difference was astounding. I really, really like those two together.

And poor Sami... okay, I can't say "Poor Sami," with a straight face. Hopefully now that both of her men have moved on, she'll get some good revenge, plot something, etc. I want a return to the Sami of yore!

What else? Um, Daniel and Chelsea still creep me out. It's not the age difference that bothers me so much as the fact that watching the two of them together is akin to watching grass grow. We were bombarded this week with Bo's disapproval, and OMG, it's so much like how Doug didn't approve of Bo and Hope... Daniel and Chelsea must therefore be just like Bo and Hope! Give me a fricking break. They are not just like Bo and Hope, because Bo and Hope have oodles and oodles of chemistry, and Daniel and Chelsea have none.

Speaking of lack of chemistry, there's Morgan and Phillip. *snore*

At least Tamara Braun is around to keep things interesting as Ava! I love her so much. John destroyed the disk with his memories this week, but I have a feeling that he'll eventually get them back somehow and go back to being the old John. That's too bad however, I'm quite enjoying this incarnation. Maybe they can take a page from General Hospital's book and pull a Jason Morgan on John? Jason still hasn't gotten back his memories and it's what--twelve, thirteen years later?

Y&R

We all know that death is not the end on a soap opera....will Drucilla return as a ghost? or, after a year or so of amnesia, will she come back and say, "Surprise?' a la Malcolm?  Whatever, I can't say I'm sorry to see her go.  All those hysterics were getting on my nerves.  I love the woman as an actress, and hopefully we will see lots more of her, but that part was just over the top.  I was frankly surprised she kept it together long enough to get out of the mental home.

Meantime, back at the hospital, Brad can hardly tear himself away from Sharon long enough to tell Victoria how much he loves her.  I know Vicki has led a sheltered life, but how dumb does this "big corporate exec" have to be to continue to believe all his lies?  The story will soon be out though, since the "grapevine" has it now.  The biggest mystery is how Sharon was able to keep her big mouth shut as long as she did.

At least the big wedding has been postponed...maybe Nick will finally realize what a psycho he "married".  Let's hope she goes to jail at last.  We can't believe she really regrets anything that happened, since she's always been willing to kill or maim anyone who got in her way.  She just wants everyone to keep telling her, "oh, it's not your fault."  so she can look as if she's really upset.

Daniel, by the way, inherited none of his mother's flawless ability to lie about anything convincingly.  How long will it take Lily to finally realize that, duh, the guy is hooked on porn???  And he's always been such a loveable, cleancut boy.  I have decided that I don't want to adopt him after all.

Well, that's enough of my commentary for April 9... I'm sure I'll have more to say later.
