Last week on As the World Turns, Paul found Sofie on the verge of death... and instead of calling 911, he watched her die, tossed her body in a laundry bin, and then buried her in his backyard. Now, I know she accused him of rape. I know she was creepily obsessed with him, claiming to be pregnant with his child when she probably wasn't, out to get Meg, etc. I know she whispered Meg's name before she died, leading Paul to think his beloved was the one who had attacked Sofie. Still, though, the girl was PREGNANT. Possibly with Paul's child. Watching her die, even to protect Meg, was cold.

 

Now we have the mystery emerging of who really did kill Sofie. Right now they're def making it look like it was Barbara (even Lisa practically accused Barbara of murder), but my experience with soap operas tells me that a) Barbara is way too obvious a suspect, and b) it's way too soon for the real killer to be on the radar. I suspect that it will turn out to either be a nobody, throw-away killer, or someone other than Barbara or Meg. Possibly Cole. Or what about Chris? He was on a crazy drunken binge rage thing.

 

I was glad to see Luke and Noah back together, but then, of course, their reunion turned out to be brief, because Noah has decided to enlist. Really, will those two boys ever be happy and together? It doesn't look like it will be any time soon, especially after the previews showed Luke showing up at boot camp (or wherever) and telling everyone that Noah is gay. Jesus, Luke. I know you don't want him to join the army, but he's never going to forgive you for that.

 

I'm still loving Holden and Carly and their forbidden lust. Jon Hensley has a lot more chemistry with Maura West than he does with NuLily. I can't wait for Jack and Lily to find out about Holden and Carly having sex, and I have to say that I hope there's more of Holden and Carly together, because they steam up the screen!

 

Speaking of steam, I actually really like Janet and Jack together. They're fun and funny, and it gets Janet away from pursuing Brad. It'll be interesting to see what Liberty and Parker do if their parents start dating, lol.

 

Brad and Katie were cute as per usual, especially in their Fourth of July outfits on Friday, although Katie's make up was a little over the top.

 

This week I'm looking forward to more tension between Holden and Carly, more Jack and Janet, and the unfolding of the mystery of who killed Sofie. Also? Margo's going to catch Casey and Emily in the act! Hee.

 

Oh, and yay for twenty five years for Tom and Margo! They've been married longer than I've been alive, which is certainly saying something, especially for a soap couple!

r threw down the copy of Pine Valley Bulletin. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Why wasn't the coverage based around Ericas murder? Why did they have to target him?

"Shit!" He yelled "What am I going to do?" He paced the room. This was dynamite and everyone was soon going to read it. He was going to catch hell from everyone, especially Adam. He picked up the phone and began to dial.

"I knew it!" A familiar female voice shouted.

Sam sat in front of Lily. He was going to tell her about the note Sean dropped.

"Lily I found something that will crack your case wide open." He started.

"My case cant be cracked wide open because it is not a physical thing." Lily stated. "It can be solved."

"Well what Im about to tell you will solve your case." He smiled.

"Tell me." Lily grew excited.

"Liza Colby wanted to have my Uncle Jakes baby, but Adam Chandler bought the sperm bank where they were going to be inseminated and switched the samples."

"I thought that Liza was married to Adam at the time." Lily said "Why would she go to someone else to have a baby?"

Tim sat in the Valley in dining room, eating his breakfast alone. He read the Pine Valley Bulletin, especially the article on Jr. He knew he should be focused on Ericas murder but the article was delicious fun. He didnt notice the man who was staring at him until the gentleman approached him.

"Timmy?" He asked.

"Oh my God! Joey?" Tim responded confused.

"Yep." He answered, his smile disappearing slowly. "What are you doing here?"

"My sister lives here," Tim answered  "And I had a few clients here. No thanks to Carolyn."

"Im so sorry about that." he answered.
"What brings you to Pine Valley?" Tim ignored his apology. Lily walked up as Joey went to answer.

"Jake Martin?" She asked.

Babe sat in the rocking chair, digesting the article she had just read. In it there were claims made that Jr and Paul had been having an affair and that Jr was gay and Paul was bi sexual. Everything was happening to fast for her. She knew she must seem crazy to everyone, thinking she was seeing a dead man, then the text message that apparently wasn't, and then claiming he was in court and had a gun. She was beginning to question her own sanity, Krystal had told her to take it easy the next few days and let Jr have Little A but she was worried, what if Jr were gay would he try to flee Pine Valley with her baby. This article was true she knew it in her heart. When they were in San Francisco she caught them together in different stages of undress. There was also a rumor of a tape of them having sex though both denied it. She now wondered if it was true, she had fallen for both of their lies. She noticed a piece of paper in the door, so she went and got it. Once unfolded it she let out a scream.

"Tomorrow in The Pine Valley Bulletin, your secret comes out..."

Amanda too read the article and tears slipped down her face. She couldn't believe yet another man that she loved was gay. She wondered if there was something about her turning them gay. She knew that if she spoke these feelings out loud, someone, probably Tim, would chastise her and tell her that it was wrong to think like that. But within a 48 hour time period, her brother and ex boyfriend had both come out or been outed. It was all her fault and she knew it. These guys would rather have sex with other men than even contemplate  making love to her. She went to her desk and opened the dossier, and reread the information Erica had given her, it was the same, except there was also a key to a locker box. There was also a note she hadn't noticed before.

"Amanda,

If I should no longer be living, go to the Pine Valley Airport, in locker 315C there is something you need to see, and turn over to whomever you see fit.

Kendall read and reread the article about Jr. If there was ever a shocker this was it. She scanned the article again, this was damning information. The Chandlers would be in cover up mode in no time, swearing this article wasn't true. Zack entered the kitchen.

"What are you reading?" He asked.

"The Pine Valley Bulletin." She answered, standing up to kiss him.

"That trash." He acted disgusted, but when he seen the cover he was intrigued. The cover read "JR Chandler slept with Ex wifes Ex husband" He flipped open the paper to the article and read it. He stopped. "Who wrote this article?" He handed the paper back to Kendall.

"Desiree Dubois." She answered nonchalantly.

"Do you know who that is?" He asked, suddenly very serious.

"No I don't know anyone who writes for that paper." She answered.

"It was your mothers Vegas stage name..."
