LiaSon: Jason was very wise in showing Kate to Liz, because nearly every girl he has been with has ended up like that.  Sam is a perfect example... the shooter was 'gunning' for her in particular to send a message to Jason.  Even Carly and Brenda have been used the same way and children related or friends with them as well (Michael Morgan and Kristina).  Which leads me to ask the question:: What truly makes Liz believe that she will be different? and if she never plans to be with him 'forever', then is the point of starting something that you both know cannot and will not work out.  Even if Jasons enemies found out about Jake... Liz, Cameron, and Jake would still be in danger, they could move into the pent house for Jason to protect them, but look at how that turned out for Sam and Brenda, dude even Spinelli.  I realize that love makes you through caution to the wind, but they are turning Elizabeth into obessive girl who thinks that she knows everything.  How does she think that just her being around Jason and not the children will really make a difference in the long run.  Sam didnt have Jason's child but still was in constant danger of his enemies.  I used to like Liz (way way way back in the day), but the writers as usual are screwing with the characters.  I dont want anything to happen to Liz... because they would mean that their "love "would have to play out on my screen.  I could stand to watch the same conversation between Liason as we had with beloved JaSam.  If they have to be together... they better not do anything that could have been correlated with JaSam scenes.  Kiss in the rain was ENOUGH! 

 

LuSam: I have to say... of all the pairings except NiKadine... LuSam can get it done.  Both Kelly and Greg are pheonomial together.  Although i have noticed a change in character.. (Sam pimping Liason) both are acceptable together.  They look great on screen, but they are two totally different people same as liz and Jason.. and although opposites attract.. Lucky will always be in a position to fear for Sam's life and vice versa with Jason and Liz.  Neither couples have a peaceful future ahead of them.  Dont get me wrong... i do have fun with Lucky and Sam and i think they have intersting future storyline possibilites.  I would absolutly love for the rumor to be true about Sam's Pregnancy!!  It would be great is Sam could have Lucky's baby girl. I am excited to hear ILYs, and am glad that Liz is finally beginning to forgive Sam and is allowing her to be around CaKe.  I believe that this could be great forshadowing for pregnancy, and good news for LuSam fans.  Could lead to unbelievably good storylines: The first pregnancy storyline that is not WTD!!  Its Lucky's baby, they are in love... no lies... only one problem however, at anytime she could abort and/or die, leading Lucky to be overcautious with her!  She would finally have to settle down and let him take car of her.  It would definatly be exciting, to see Sam in "pre-mommy mode" again.  And yes, i would absolutly FLOVE to see Jason's face when he hears and or holds Baby Girl Spencer!!  Dude i am writing a fan-fiction here!!!  Better go start it!!

• In less than 6 hours, we start a whole new week of General Hospital.  I have to say i havent seen most of last weeks episodes due to the lameness of the current storylines.  For example:  Lucky and Sam's Investigation and subsequent screen time with Jerry Jax... KeMo plays an excellent "bad girl" but havent we seen enough of that these past few years?  Also, although i must admit that i have enjoyed Johnny away from Lulu... that entire trial was a joke by the mere fact that Epiphany and Edward were placed on the jury and Scott was allowed to be special prosecuter for his own sons murder trial. 

 

• With all that being said, i might watch today for the simple fact that i have seen spoilers that allude to relationships between Ric Lansing and Claudia Zacchara as well as Nic Cassadine and Nadine Crowell.  With the lack of intellegent storyline (and couples that actually have a snowballs chance of surving) these two couples have warmed my GH loving heart during the cold winter nights that are LIASON & SKATE.  Both of which, if you have read my blog before would notice that i despise. 

 

• Unfortunatly with the increase of screen time of those couples, also brings to light the LIASON storylines.  Looks like i will be watching CLIC NIKADINE and MATT and MAXIE LUSAM scenes then FF through the rest.  Oh... what is the GH... i dont even recognize it anymore.

 

• Although i realize that the actors are not to blame for the current storylines, i do however have to name one who i was severly dissappointed in:  Steve Burton.  Whether,  he said it straight out or not, i fully believe that Steve went before TPTB and said "i want out of the Sam/Jason pairing... and i want to be with Elizabeth... do it whatever way you need to".  I realize that actors may not always enjoy their storylines, but it seems that they destroyed four major money making couples to create one couple that now they dont even know what to do with.  So one week they are sleeping together... the other Jason is saying that he cant take the risk.  All this just to appease Steve Burtons whims.  Breaking up couples, for example LnL2 and JaSam, in horrible and uncharacterstic ways was most certainly the responsibity of the writers and directors. And yes... i am biased... but i thousands of LNL2 and JaSam fan that share some of the same sentiments.  

 

• It is about 9:20 and time for me to return to my classes... where i can dream of the good ole days when 'General Hospital' was acting something i would look forward to.

So on today's GH we found out, after all that rigamarole, that Carly is not pregnant. Which, um, is good news, I guess, because that means that a) there's no chance it could be Sonny's, and b) we won't have to sit through Carlybabes pawning off another baby as Jason's, since it turned out so well the first time. This ending, however, left me with a severe feeling of WTF. Why would Guza and his minions put us through all that torture only for her to end up without a bun in the oven?

 

I had a strong feeling of WTF to begin with, when I first read about this new and original *insert eyeroll* storyline in Soap Opera Digest. I was beyond pissed off that they were going to copy the 1998 story. IMO, it totally erases any emotional growth Carly might have had after Michael's shooting, even more than the disastrous limo sex. Laura Wright is easily one of the best actresses in daytime, and I feel like every time they give her this same old crap, they're severely underusing her and limiting the potential she has to make Carly more than just a slutty, annoying, dumb bimbo. (And I don't say those negative words lightly, cuz I love me some Carly.)

 

I think one of the biggest things that pissed me off were the quotes from Bob Guza in SOD.

 

"A flummoxed Carly spontaneously spins the lie that she is pregnant, it's Jason who is the father. 'This is where it gets a little comedic,' grins Guza."

 

Comedic? After the gruesome deaths of Georgie and Emily, Michael's coma, and the loss of poor little baby Carjax, I always suspected that Guza found GH viewers' suffering comedic. How is this man still head writer? Grrrr.

 

Also?

 

"'This was not a coincidence,' explains Guza regarding this particular plot point. 'This was deliberate. It was an interesting excercise to see how the character has changed since then...'"

 

The hell? One, it's not interesting. And two, she hasn't changed at all since then, apparently, SINCE YOU ARE WRITING THE SAME FRICKING THING. *steam coming out of ears*

 

And now thanks to Sonny's big mouth Jax is suspicious that Carly slept with Sonny. If I were writing General Hospital, I would use this as an opportunity for Carly to tell Jax that she did, indeed, have dirty nasty unprotected limo sex with Sonny. I'm sure Jax would be pissed, and probably want to leave, but then they could talk it out (Couples therapy? Too bad Lainey's been taken off contract...) and eventually make the decision to stay together. I believe that they truly love each other, and while Carly's certainly flawed, Jax is no saint either. But of course I am not writing GH and I foresee Carly lying to him some more, followed by Carly and Jax breaking up and Carly and Sonny getting back together for the umpteenth time. Sickening.

 

As for the rest of today's episode... Jerry took my beautiful Johnny hostage, and when Johnny turned the tables and attacked that sick fuck I was really hoping that would be the end of Mr. Craig but, alas, no such luck. There was like thirty seconds of adorable Lucky & Sam interaction, and maybe, maybe, just possibly Robin might be going to come around to letting Patrick near her precious child, which is good, because she's been driving me crazy lately with the hypocrisy.

 

We had more of that obnoxious Dr. Matt Hunter, and so far I don't see what the big deal is. I know the actor was supposed to be part of some fabulous supercouple with Kirsten Storms on Days of Our Lives, but I just don't see the chemistry yet. He's just a boring Dr. Patrick Drake 2.0. Give me Spixie any day. I'm serious. Please, please give me Spixie. (Damn you, Guza, damn you.)

 

P.S.- Loved Jason today, and his "Next time leave me out of the tangled web that you weave, Carly." So true. Brought back some memories, though, as my dad used the tangled web quote a lot on me when I was in high school...

I hate Maxie Jones. For those out there who claim they love the character, I ask why? She’s always mean spirited, she never wants anything that doesn’t belong to Lulu, she uses people, her voice is like nails on a chalkboard, she has a rat face and her new haircut is terrible. What is there to root for in a woman who helped Lucky ruin his life and then tried to trap him with a fake pregnancy? And then she thought that fake baby gave her the right to judge Lulu for making the painful choice to have an abortion. About the only good things the writers did was make her very small on the canvas and to pair her with Spinelli (although she’s only with him to bug Lulu and reports of a real love interest for her mean they aren't going far.

Now rat face is after Johnny because JoLu doesn’t have enough problems with Lulu's family butting in and Claudia lurking around and we’re supposed to find this entertaining. I know Johnny doesn’t want her, he is head over heels for Lulu, I’m just hoping the writers don’t decide to let him use Maxie to hurt Lulu to keep her safely away. It would be dumb since Anthony has her held hostage, but even knowing about the threat on Lucky, Johnny still offered her an out on Friday so I have my doubts about how committed they are about letting JoLu be a couple under siege and not a constant make-up/break-up fiasco like Liason. I’m hoping the rumors of a love interest being cast for Maxie, and the possibilities having Lulu on the wrong side of a mob war will offer, will keep rat face’s try for Johnny contained to next week. There is so much more potential in having JoLu together against the world than in having them apart with the world against them. I would love to have Anthony pull Maxie into his limo and tell her to stop making trouble for JoLu or enjoy burying Mac.

Newsflash: watching Maxie get away with everything while victimizing Lulu isn’t fun. Maxie needs a big consequence like losing her job (she sabotaged Crimson by deleting that email, but somehow that got Lulu in trouble too) or having Johnny tell her she’s not as hot as she thinks she is (hey if she was so good in bed that she has to brag about it to everyone Logan would have gone back for seconds and not dumped her skinny skanky butt forever). People call Lulu a slut for sleeping with 3 guys, all of whom she cared about, but Maxie has had at least 4 and seems to think cheating on Coop with Logan for revenge was ok. Any woman who brags that strongly about her sexual conquests to make herself feel important is a slut. You can have the sex, don’t misunderstand me, but if that’s the only thing you have to brag about, you’ve got a problem.

For a woman who is supposed to be after a career they need to give Maxie actual goals besides stealing things from Lulu. It is degrading to women that falling on her back is the only way Maxie feels she has “won” something and been successful in life. Knock the bitch down a peg and give her actual feelings. Her outburst at Kelly’s when Georgie died was touching, but for me to like a character the humanity has to come out in more than one scene every year. Claudia, who is a mix of malice and vulnerability every time she is on screen, I can root for (please pair her with Nikolas, he deserves someone who can act and not boring Nadine), but all I want to do is slap Maxie. And it’s not an “I love to hate the character” situation like Catherine Bell (who did get one-upped by Lucy or the Qs at least once a month for her nastiness) I genuinely see nothing entertaining about Maxie and I don’t understand why she’s allowed to win all the time.

One last tirade before I sign off. If, in Lucky’s mind, Lulu is destined to go crazy because Laura did, why isn’t his own or Nikolas’ sanity at risk? Is it because Lulu is a girl? In that case, why isn’t she asking him if Sam should be afraid he might rape her since he’s male like Luke? Lucky used to be so much fun when he first came on, but now he’s a boring do-gooder who mopes around trying to ruin everyone’s happiness because he’s miserable. Why hasn’t anyone pointed out he can’t find real love because he’s afraid to live and that he hides behind his badge to avoid the edge, thus insuring he won't find true love? I loved his scene with Luke and Lulu on the Haunted Star when he bent the rules to help his dad see Lulu one last time, but in 2 days he was on a power trip with Luke gone as he tried to manipulate his sister. I am so glad Nikolas pointed out Lulu is an adult who can make her own decisions. Most the time Lucky ignores her, but the second she’s happy he wants to take it from her. Hmmm, maybe they should put him back with Maxie and they can enjoy the rest of their lives making other characters as boring and miserable as they are.

Stay smart GH writers. JoLu is the real deal, don't mess it up after they finally reunited, keep rat-face Maxie out of it and let the mob create the tensions for JoLu just like Luke and Laura or Brenda and Sonny.

I Posted this on the Main Message Board (EyesOnly027) but decided to post it here too!!  Because lets face it... i have had a blog for one week and wow... i obsessed!!

 

 I am starting to feel bad for all the Liason fans out there. You know us... Jasam, Journey, Jason/Robin (they were around before all the cool names became popular), and Jarly (Even Lucky and Liz) fans we have had our moments, and here we are ruining it for the Jiz... (ooops sorry couldnt help it... i like writing Jiz) Liason fans, many of them have waited a long time for this pairing. We all get mad when the storylines arent going our way... (Frankly, the writing staff is pissing me off... majorly)... but thats just it... everything has to change every once in a while. Look at the past, present and future supercouple Luke and Laura. The have been through so much over the last what... 20 years atleast... They have been married... divorced... cheated on... shot at...lost their son... found him... lost their mind... found it... brought back together... lost their mind... and then separated again. You never know what couple will stay together forever, or die completely... or maybe... just maybe go through trials and mature a little and come back and do things differently. Now there is nothing wrong with writing opinions... lets face it that what message boards are for (and its FUN). But some of the stuff i have read... and unfortuntaly even written (bad me!) has crossed the lines of friendly conversation and debate. I am not even going to say "its just a tv show... because i know i take it more seriously than that!!!Just thought maybe this might help.

 

With that being said... Long Live JASAM!
