Nicole @ soapcentral.com
I get the strangest feeling of de ja vu when I watch scenes with Sami, EJ and Nicole. I've seen this play before. I just know it.
There's a strong and incredibly good looking leading man who has very plot-heavy genealogy, but unfortunatley can't seem to do anything without parental consent. Our hero is torn between two women.
One women is a loveable, but lifelong trouble maker. She always has admirable ends, but often employs questionable means to get to those ends. It's a good thing that her family name is so well respected because often times that's the only saving grace she has.
The other woman is a savvy wanna-be aristocrat. She thinks it equally painful to be seen without her man as it is to be seen without her high heels and matching bag. She has a very smal family, but is generaly liked by most of the town because of her charm and wit.
Both women are a little too extreme to win over all of the show's fan base, but most can agree that neither character is a "better person" than the other.
The good news is that the actresses involved in the story lines are great. No matter how circular the dialogue (and let's face it, it's getting horribly repetitive) Alison Sweeney and Arianne Zucker will be charged with keeping viewers attention just like Lindsay Hartley and Liza Huber did.
But the huge drawback is the scope of this story line. Passions waited way to long (as in, the very last episode ever) to end this triangle. By the end of the story line, the leading man was sorta a weenie for going back and forth between two women and the women were equally as unlikeable because their whole history was schemes and lies.
I hope that the Days writers learn that keeping a perpetual triangle going is not good for a soap. Can you imagine if Bo was still trying to decide between Billie and Hope? Me either.
Bottom line: make a choice and go with it. Don't let the characters suffer!
Cheers,
Laurisa
As part of your ever faithful Two Scoops duo, Tony and I are always ready to share our thoughts on our favorite guilty obsession with you. We hope you'll do the same with us! We appreciate all the feedback that we can get!
This week I learned that claustrophobia can be cured by sex. Thanks, DOOL! It's good to know that you're on top of the latest medical breakthroughs. Chloe and Lucas got it on in an elevator! Chloe's still gorgeous, Lucas still has bad hair, but at least this plotline is mildly interesting.
EJ and Nicole on the other hand... They were in the next elevator over, and the difference was astounding. I really, really like those two together.
And poor Sami... okay, I can't say "Poor Sami," with a straight face. Hopefully now that both of her men have moved on, she'll get some good revenge, plot something, etc. I want a return to the Sami of yore!
What else? Um, Daniel and Chelsea still creep me out. It's not the age difference that bothers me so much as the fact that watching the two of them together is akin to watching grass grow. We were bombarded this week with Bo's disapproval, and OMG, it's so much like how Doug didn't approve of Bo and Hope... Daniel and Chelsea must therefore be just like Bo and Hope! Give me a fricking break. They are not just like Bo and Hope, because Bo and Hope have oodles and oodles of chemistry, and Daniel and Chelsea have none.
Speaking of lack of chemistry, there's Morgan and Phillip. *snore*
At least Tamara Braun is around to keep things interesting as Ava! I love her so much. John destroyed the disk with his memories this week, but I have a feeling that he'll eventually get them back somehow and go back to being the old John. That's too bad however, I'm quite enjoying this incarnation. Maybe they can take a page from General Hospital's book and pull a Jason Morgan on John? Jason still hasn't gotten back his memories and it's what--twelve, thirteen years later?
OLTL Nash death was an accident no one pushed him, shoved him or other wise, JarHead as much as I dislike him didn't mean for him to be killed . Jared and Natalie are not murderers.
Bree Williamson is amazing this week.
I am not looking forward to another round of Tess the mess. The poor baby may not stand a chance.
GH Umm Robin needs to think of some other examples like people who wish they had known their fathers. .......AND Robin you yourself didn't know until you were about 7 ,that your mother was Anna ,now what if she had never told you and kept you refering to her as "Luv" something to think about.
I really don't like it when more than one character is pregnant on a soap ,it usually means a death and or switch is to come. GH Carly/Robin maybe it won't happen since Robin is farther along.
OLTL Jess Tess /Starr......... Please no.
AMC: Greenlee I was glad for her return but enough already, your a selfish fool .
Days: I Never thought I would say it, but poor Nicole,I feel for her.
I understand that young people like to drive, esp. when they can afford nice vehicles, but they must remember that driving is a privilege and not a right. Someone with her means has no excuse; when "partying" she could be driven by a bodyguard, taxi, limo, or a designated driver of any kind.
People are always treated as individuals and not sentenced only by precedents. Sometimes suspects are denied bail because they have substamtial means and are thus considered to be a flight risk while others have been released on their own recognizance. Placing Miss Hilton under house arrest would be liking sentencing the average offender to Club Med.
Most inmates probably suffer from claustrophobia, esp. if just one of their closets at home is larger than the cell. Leona Helmsley most likely wasn't very comfortable either.
The Adderall explains her low body weight. Perhaps that is what she & Nicole Ritchie's big fight was about, maybe ultra-skinny Nicole took Paris's stash. I suppose it's really not anything to joke about but again, this story has become ridiculous.
