Well, I'm finally able to share pictures with ya guys again!
Today I'm sharing pictures of my adorable cats, Marshmallow and Cocoa.
Picture #1: Cocoa chilling on the kitchen floor.
Picture #2: Oh, boy! Catnip!!!!!!
Picture #3: Marshmallow and Cocoa (if you ask me which one's which, I'm gonna kill you
)
Picture #4: There's what happened after I put a jar of catnip in front of them (my knees kinda got into the frame too).
Picture #5: Nana & Papa's cat, Buddy (you know, the one who hunts).
Did I mention Nana & Papa have a cat? Well, he has the cutest name ever...Buddy! That is such a cute name, isn't it??? They got him a couple years ago. One of Nana's friends found him in the wild as a stray cat and gave it to them. Papa fell in love with him right away when Buddy rubbed against his leg
After they've had him for a few days, and they still hadn't named him, Papa said to him, "We gotta come up with a name for you, buddy!", and then the name came to him! Now, usually when you have cats they get freaked out whenever company comes and they hide whenver the doorbell rings, but not this cat. He's very friendly to everyone. He'd probably cuddle up to a serial killer! Buddy isn't afraid of much. The one thing he's afraid of is the really loud smoke alarm which Papa sets off every year to test it, but other than that he isn't afraid of anything. That's probably because he was a stray cat and he's gone through scarier experiences than hearing a doorbell ring. Also, Nana & Papa let him go outside restrained on a harnass. What he does is hide in their hastas waiting for a little animal to come along so he can kill it and eat it! He is a vicious hunter (look on my blog archive to see a picture of him hiding in the hastas...it's blog #3 which was titled "Cats"). He's killed gophers, chipmunks, and birds. In fact, I saw him eating a bird just the other day! It was gross, yet kind of entertaining and funny. So here are some really cute pictures of him.
Picture #1: A close-up shot of Buddy.
Picture #2: Buddy being lazy.
Picture #3: Buddy wrapped up in a blanket. He loves that! Most cats hate that, but not him. He's very different from other cats.
Picture #4: Buddy has crawled onto Nana and they slept together. Cute!!!! He does that all the time.
Picture #5: There's Buddy and Frannie's cat, Sam. When Frannie's condo was being rennovated, she was living with Nana & Papa and she brought Sam with her. You'd think Buddy and Sam would be hissing at each other because that's what cats do when they're forced together with another cat, but Buddy and Sam got along perfectly.
Picture #6: Buddy lying down on their front porch on his harnass.
Picture #7: Buddy on my second cousin Sarajane's wedding dress! LOL!!!!
Picture #8: Buddy lying down on Papa's Green Bay Packer jacket. We're all Packer fans, and it looks like Buddy is too!!!!
Picture #9: A chipmunk that was caught by Buddy...and survived! Nana was able to get him out of Buddy's mouth before Buddy could hurt it at all. Word to the wise: NEVER hold a wild animal like that. You never know if it has rabies.. But that chipmunk is cute, isn't it???
Oh, today we went to see my great-uncle Phil, who's dying of cancer. He looked terrible. He lost his hair and he's very thin...he's not eating much. He's so thin you can see his backbone. Hospice people were delivering oxygen to their house when we arrived, so that's not a good sign. He's asleep most of the time, and when he's awake, he can't move very much. He can't talk either, he just whispers. He can nod his head yes and shake his head no. He seemed very happy to see me. I asked him if he was in any pain, and he shook his head no, so that's good, but he is having trouble breathing. His wife, Marty, is a strong lady. She is taking so good care of him. That's what Marty is: a pamperer. And they have an 8-year-old grandson, Peyton, and he and Phil are very close, so it's gonna be very hard for Peyton when he dies, and that's probably gonna be in a matter of days. It's gonna be very hard for me too, because of all my great-uncles, he was the one I am closest to. But I do kinda hope he dies soon, just so he can stop suffering.
Everyone have a good week!
