Desperate Housewives season finale

Well, season 4 is over...Marc Cherry ended the season with a finale that was just FABULOUS!!!!!!  From the minute I heard this would be a two-hour season finale, I just knew it would be amazing, and, to be honest, the episode was MUCH, MUCH better than I thought it would be!!!!!!

Susan's s/l was funny in the first hour of the finale.  Her issue with Maynard...and I loved the scene when Lynette, Bree, and Gabrielle had that discussion about names.  Funny stuff!  But then the second hour it was sad...saying goodbye to Julie.  Julie was a terrific character and she was a pleasure to have on the show.  I loved when Susan and Julie had the touching, sad goodbye.  It was a nice resolution to the character of Julie...that was definitely one of the most touching, emotional scenes in the history of television.  And you know, I never cry when it comes to TV, but I actually came close.  I'll miss Julie.

I don't know if it's possible to hate Kayla any more than I do.  I was just sick when she burned herself with the hair curler.  I just LOVED how everything blew up in her face at the end!  HAHA!  I don't know if Marc Cherry wanted us to feel sorry for Kayla when she was having that meltdown in the car, but I certainly didn't.  She had a good thing going!  Tough luck, sweetie!  And I like Tom now...he has proven himself to be a good, loving husband.  I loved his chat with Lee and Bob...he definitely showed his undying love for Lynette.  They have been through so much these past couple years, and here they are, still together.  That was another extremely touching scene.  They have obstacles ahead of them for sure, but it's nice to know they will probably stay together through it all.

Bree's s/l was the only one in the season finale that I wasn't extremely thrilled with.  It wasn't season finale material...it was just too stand-alone for a season finale.  While the whole thing with her and the reverend, then Orson and the reverend having a big fight that the whole church overheard was funny, it just didn't live up to excpectations I have for season finales.  But I LOVED her on the side of the road with the ice sculpture in the stroller.  That was classic, LOL!

Gabrielle...what an exciting climax to this Ellie s/l!  Some parts were funny, like her pretending to have an affair with the officer!  HA!!!!!!  The funniest part was Carlos yelling into the closet...DH can make humor out of the most serious things! Smiley  The shocking part of this s/l was Wayne killing Ellie...I didn't see that coming at all!  So it looks like Carlos and Gabrielle probably get to keep that money after all!

Katherine...man, oh man!  SHOCKER!!!!!!  Definitely the best part of the finale!  We know everything now!  I'm totally blown away by that big hostage situation.  Wayne is a total prick...he totally has issues!  And I was not a big fan of that friend of Wayne's either!  Poor Katherine.  But all her troubles are over...Adam came to the rescue, and then Katherine killed Wayne!  Bastard deserved it...the nerve he had telling Katherine he was gonna come back!  Wayne was not meant for this world...hell sounds better for him Smiley

And the most amazing thing about this season finale I saved for last...the ending.  The 5-year FF!  It's so funny to see Gabrielle as a mother, Andrew all grown up and professional, and Tom and Lynette dealing with juvenile delinquents.  But one question...WHERE THE HECK IS MIKE????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes-sir-ee, this season finale was amazing!  The writers took my expectations and blew them out of the water!  I praise Marc Cherry and his writing staff for such an amazing season finale and such an amazing season.  Sure the season was cut short thanks to that damn strike, but I found this season to be very entertaining, juicy, and always left me excited for the next episode.  Last night's season finale had an excellent wrap-up to each s/l (minus Bree's) and those last couple minutes when we moved forward 5 years...amazing!  Kudos to Marc Cherry and the writers for such a wonderful season finale and an awesome season.  I just can't believe it's over already! Smiley

I have no spoilers for you guys.  When it's so long 'till the next episode, spoilers are scarce.

LOST comes back next week
So it comes upon us that the "Meet Kevin Johnson"  conclusion (Sayid outing Michael in front of Gault, Danielle and Karl being shot) will factor in to the war in the new episode "The Shape Of Things To Come".  I mean the episode features death, explosions, and one hell of an execution!!!

I'll post some more next Thursday before the finale.  But we got more action, more info on the monster (yes, Smokey comes back), and everything else...So glad it back!

Degrassi is back on Friday!!!!
So Degrassi: TNG returns for its 7th season (the franchises 27th year overall) this Friday. And I can't say I am not excited. Its gonna be interesting to see if the writers can step up their game and keep the writing up overall seeing as that this season, they've decided to bring Lakehurst students over to Degrassi. Looking at the promos, it looks like this will be an intense season. I can't wait

Desperate Housewives season premiere

Well, I saw the season premiere, and it was fantastic!  Great start to a great season!

I knew from spoilers that Edie would survive, but I didn't expect it to happen the way it did.  Edie earns points for creativity, you have to admit.  She had planned it all so well and thoroughly, it would've gone out perfectly if it weren't for Mrs. McCluskey stalling Carlos to yell at him for leaving his trash cans out, LOL! Smiley  Uh, Mrs. McCluskey, isn't a corpse in the freezer worse than trash cans out after the truck arrived???  But I could just kill Edie now for blackmailing Carlos to stay with her!  She just gets eviler and eviler.

This Katherine s/l has me very interested.  I got the chills when Dylan was talking to Julie about that man in her bedroom (I'm getting the chills just talking about it!).  I think that's the thing that happened in that room Katherine was standing in at the end of the episode.  But what exactly did happen and why did they have to come back?  Geez, we're only one episode in and I'm already very into it!  Also, what did Julie mean when she said about Dylan, "this may be hard to believe, but she's not the same girl"???  Did she mean that literally?  That "this may be hard to believe" kinda threw me off.

I am just thrilled that Susan and Mike are finally married and happy.  I loved Susan in this episode, thinking she was going through menopause and thinking she's old.  And those old ladies inviting her to their table???  Hilarious!  I am happy for the new couple for being pregnant.  But are we sure Ian's not the father???

Poor, poor Lynette.  As if she hasn't had a tough year already.  But like Tom and Stella said, keeping her cancer a secret just made life more stressful for her.  I loved it when she pulled off her wig and said, "I have cancer" very calmy.  And I loved the scene where she told the other housewives about her cancer.  I like those scenes where the women are close together comforting each other.  Oh, and Lynette puking in the purse was classic!!!!!!

Bree has a funny story.  Her getting rough with that old lady was a hoot!  And the BBQ fork thing was hysterical.  "Come on Bree, let's go fool Mrs. McCluskey" (high-five), LOL!!!!!!

I am wooting for Carlos and Gabrielle to get back together!  We just need to get Victor and Edie out of the picture.  Victor: "We can go for 2 weeks in April".  April???  Haha, what a dork!  I hate that guy with a passion.  I swear, if I could walk on water I would drag him out into the middle of a lake and hold him under until the bubbles stopped.

Spoilers...

Episode eight...

Gabrielle becomes worried because Victor went on a fishing trip and didn't come home.  His boat is found capsized but no one knows where he is.  A scarf is found on the boat.  The police ask Gabrielle if she's missing a scarf and she says no, but is she lying?  Victor is found.  He's not dead, but has suffered from a moderate concussion and hypothermia.  A reporter talks to Gabrielle about this.

One of the husbands meets with a woman we've never met before.  His wife doesn't know they're there.  The man tells the woman that he only kissed her before to comfort her, but the woman doesn't believe him.  She ends up going back to her hotel alone.

One of the husbands has been doing drugs.  After finding out that his daughter (or stepdaughter) has been seeing his drug dealer, he tells his wife the truth, and she throws him out.

Susan spies on Julie as she kisses her boyfriend, who's covered in tatoos.

Sometime this season, Richard Chamberlain will join the show as Lynette's stepfather, Glenn.
