Hope you had a nice Easter! Is it Spring yet where you live? Our seasons are the opposite of yours, we are about mid Autumn. Quite nice days still, but a chill in the air morning and night now. Thanks for making me a friend at SOC, I enjoy chatting with you. Cheers!

What Annoys Me (I posted this as a response to ghrules' blog but I liked it and decided to bring it here, too, so I wouldn't lose it.)
Fortunately I mostly get annoyed by inanimate objects. I work nights so I am usually alone in the lab or my office and the later it gets, the thinner my patience becomes. Sometimes I'll just lose it and go off on the offending drawer, door, pen that won't write, etc. It seems harmless to screech at a thing (as opposed to a person or animal) but then again, I have certainly shocked a janitor or the occasional security guard who happens to come trotting through at the wrong time.
I go crazy when I'm trying to read a paperback while I eat and it won't stay open to the right page.
I am really hard on keyboards and computer mice. When Word doesn't do what I think it should, I have been known to commit mouse-icide by banging the mouse repeatedly on the desktop. When the computer locks up on me, my keyboard cringes, because it knows its in for a rough ride. It wishes it was a turtle so it could draw up into a shell. Computer services keeps a stash of spare keyboards and mice in a drawer with my name on it.
I hate dark hallways. I have a running feud with one of the security guards at work who feels it his mission in life to keep all hallways dimly lit. I feel it is my mission in life to know where the light switches are and use them liberally.
I hate it when I hit the unlock button on my key fob twice but only the driver's side door unlocks (all the doors are supposed to unlock when I do that but sometimes the first push doesn't "take.")
It annoys me when I order iced tea, no lemon, and get a big fat lemon wedge anyway. What part of "no lemon" is so confusing?
I hate shoulder bags. They should be called elbow bags, at least on me, because they are always falling off of my shoulder.
I mostly get annoyed at people when they ignore rules. I can barely stand to go to the zoo because there's always somebody abusing the animals by feeding them illegally, or howling at them, or banging on the glass, or throwing rocks at them. I just want to whack those people with a stick. Fortunately it's hard to find good whacking sticks lying around your typical zoo.

Hope things are good with you. Your blog about staying up all night scrapping gave me a grin!
Cheers Jinx.
I have been putting off blogging because I have a lot of stories to tell about my hiking adventures last week. I still shoot film (they can have my film camera when they pry it out of my cold, dead hand) but that is an obstacle for online displays... have to get the negatives transferred to disk first. But that's done now, so no more excuses.
I'm curious to know what kind of music is classed as old time. Is it swing, or big band or blues. I don't really know much about any of them, so I was just wondering.
How is your week going?
My week is hectic because I have been traveling on business. I have been down to North Carolina the last two days, so I haven't been keeping up on SOC. Maybe later today I will have more time. Hope your week is going well!
How has everything been going with work and closet cleaning? I wanted to tell you that I thought it was really funny on "ghrules" blog when you said "What part of no lemon is too hard?" when ordering your ice tea. It made me laugh out loud.
