Days of our Lives fans who've been over the moon about Charles Shaughnessy's recent return to the NBC soap as Eve and Theresa's dad, Shane Donovan, will be happy to know they can catch him elsewhere on TV, as well.
The actor will be appearing on the Tuesday, December 13, episode of NCIS as a character named Balthazar Kilmeany.
Titled The Tie That Binds, Shaughnessy's episode focuses on Ducky as he questions choices he made 37 years after evidence found in a murder case is linked to his deceased mother.
"After the NCIS team tracks evidence from the murder of a Navy captain to Ducky's deceased mother, Ducky looks back and questions a pivotal life choice he made 37 years ago," states the official show teaser. "Also, the team exchanges holiday gifts, and Gibbs spends Christmas dinner with Fornell."
Shaughnessy shared a couple of fun behind-the-scenes photos of his stint on NCIS. One has him posing with his primetime co-stars, while the other shows him in an NCIS chair.
