ABC Daytime has announced that Brian Scott Frons will succeed Angela Shapiro as President of ABC Daytime.
Frons has previous experience as a daytime programming executive at both CBS and NBC. This will be Frons' first association with ABC. Additionally, Frons has two decades of previous experience in production and syndication.
It was announced in April that Shapiro would vacate her position at the top of ABC Daytime in order to become President of the ABC Family Channel. Shapiro has served as President of ABC Daytime since 1998.
Frons takes over the helm on August 26th.
