You always hope to start a marriage with the best intentions, but when you can't even walk down the aisle without thinking of another man, you should realize that the marriage is doomed from the get-go.

That's always the tricky part in any soap wedding - you have to promise to be faithful. And while soap fans hope again and again that this marriage will stick, they never seem to. Springfield has very few happy couples these days - Felicia Boudreaux's office should be chock full of clients.

You always hope to start a marriage with the best intentions, but when you can't even walk down the aisle without thinking of another man, you should realize that this marriage is doomed from the get go. Tammy's neck should have hurt from craning back to see Jonathan during the ceremony. Of course, we don't know how it all ends up yet - it's a teaser for this week's show - we can certainly venture a few guesses. And with the spoilers, it's easy to see how things will play out. And here I caught a few dirty looks for omitting "obey" when I walked down the aisle in 1986 ; )

I know that GL was only on three days last week, but we really didn't get to see much of any other story. The show did surprise me by showing the rest of the Danny and Michelle wedding - I really thought they had just cut their 4th (or 5th) wedding short - which would have been a shame since this fan favorite last aired right after the cake was cut. I wonder if we'll ever see Father Ray again - he still appears in the Tivo listing of the show (as does Grant Aleksander - ex-Phillip and Matthew Bomer ex-Ben) since they use alphabetical listings.

And with the holidays just a few weeks away, I can't wait to see how the show embraces the season. I know that we'll see the return of a few fan favorites, and with the turmoil in many Springfield families, it might be nice to see familiar faces. Let's just hope that we see some peace and goodwill towards all of the men (and women) of Springfield this season.

I hope that each of you got the chance to enjoy your Thanksgiving with family and friends. Maybe you started (or finished!) your holiday shopping. Or you relaxed and enjoyed time with those who hold a special place in your heart. As we all start to really gear up for a crazy time of year - with so many things to do in so little time - I hope you stop and enjoy all of the spirit of the season - no matter what holiday you celebrate. Spend some time baking cookies for friends (and don't forget to save one for me!) or visit a light display or two (which I plan to do each week) and just take some time for yourself and enjoy all that the season offers....

Until next week... Keep the Light Shining and Have a Great Week!
