We learned last week that Jonathan, not Coop, is the father of Lizzie's baby. Of course, Tammy and Coop don't know that Lizzie and Jonathan were ever together. Jonathan still thinks that Coop is the father, but is quickly putting everything together.

As any good soap fan knows, the characters in daytime are known to bend the truth quite a bit. We see it all of the time, and it makes for interesting viewing. But there is so much of it going on right now, you need a scorecard to keep it all straight.

We learned this week that Jonathan, not Coop, is the father of Lizzie's baby. Of course, just within this storyline, Tammy and Coop don't know that Lizzie and Jonathan were ever together. Jonathan still thinks Coop is the father, but is quickly putting everything together. And Ava is certainly getting suspicious. Only Lizzie knows everything, but Ashlee could be a dangerous foe to have farther on down the line.

You knew, of course, that Coop would not be the baby's father. While Alan thinks he is unsuitable for his Princess Elizabeth, Jonathan is his worst nightmare. It certainly could make for some interesting holiday moments for the poor little tyke. And this baby will be a class A con artist, just like both parents. I wonder if there is any treatment for that...

And Reva's cancer diagnosis is not the time to start keeping things from Joshua. Yes, he is excited about his new project, and the new start they have together. But keeping this from him isn't going to get any easier, nor will it make for a pleasant situation when he learns the truth.

While I did love the interactions between Reva and her hot doctor, it seemed to go on for quite a while. I hope to see Dr. McCabe in Springfield for awhile (maybe he's single - that would be great). And if the show has helped make getting a mammogram more important to those who need to get them (and that will be me next year when I hit 40), I am forever grateful for the work that was done.

That being said, I have to nitpick (hey, you knew I would) over a few things. First of all, did Springfield suddenly move to the Caribbean? I don't know who picked out the awful decorating scheme for Cedar's but they might want to get their eyes checked - it is dreadful! I swear sometimes I saw the cast cringing as they roamed the halls of that hideous green and tiki-hut styled hospital. If Bert Bauer could see Cedar's now....

And who in the writing team hasn't read their GL history. While I LOVED the fact that Josh gave Reva a new ring to celebrate their new start, how could they goof on the number of kids Reva has? Reva has FOUR children - Dylan, Marah, Shayne and Jonathan. Did GL just let Kim Zimmer use one of her rings as a prop? She has three children, and a stone each for Kim and A.C. (her husband) would add up. Very bad mangling of GL history for Josh to forget his stepson/nephew (Billy is Dylan's father).

Hopefully we'll see more storylines to mull over this summer. After all of the accolades that the show received last week, I cannot wait to see how this affects the shows ratings and the story that is written for the future of Springfield's citizens.

Until next week...
Keep the Light Shining and Have a Great Week!
